The Genius of the Crowd

There are several versions of this poem, including one remixed by Australian Sean Scott, whose work also appears on ABC's pool site (embedded here with Sean's permission).*

Observe how each rendition uses sound and images differently to render Bukowski's poem. Which do you find most effective and why? Do the images add or detract from your appreciation of the poem? Do they create something new in and of themselves, a new poem? Or simply the old poem illustrated?

* Sean has also done a rendition of Bukowski's There's a Bluebird in My Heart.
